• Abstracts can be submitted only through this electronic system.
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent by email. If you do not receive the confirmation email within 24 working hours, your submission was not complete and needs to be resubmitted. Do not submit twice the same abstract unless you receive no confirmation within 24 working hours.
  • Notification of acceptance of the abstracts will be emailed according to the deadline reported in the home page
  • The corresponding/main author will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing the other authors of the status of the abstract.
  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Abstracts should not exceed 350 words (excluding the title and author information, which cannot be written in the ‘abstract text’ box).
  • The abstract must include: Background, Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
  • References must be added to the abstract for the eventual publication in “Scoliosis” journal, provided the abstract will be accepted. References can be from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 3 and should not be inserted with the main text, but only in the specific box
  • No figures or tables can be inserted into the abstracts
  • Only research abstracts will be accepted for oral presentation. Consequently, we invite presenters to clearly state the numbers of the studied population, the methods used, and the main numeric results. If it will not be possible to gather this information from the abstract, it will not be considered for oral presentations.
  • We apply a strict policy for conflict of interest disclosure. The appropriate statement must be chosen in the form: if not done, the abstract will not be considered and automatically withdrawn.
  • Submission of the abstract imply the automatic acceptance of publication of the eventually accepted abstract
  • Abstracts will be published as submitted. It is the author's responsibility to submit a correct abstract. The Organisers will not correct any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact.  Authors will not be asked to correct errors before publication.
  • The presenter of an accepted abstract will be expected to register for the Congress at the appropriate rate. If the presenter fails to register by March 25, 2012 the abstract will not be included in the scientific program.

Abstract submission will start on September 30th and end on January 15th 2012
